Overview
Liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure to remove excess fat from selected parts of the body. Also known as lipoplasty or body contouring, it is a safe cosmetic procedure to contour and reshape the body.
The procedure is ideal for people with good skin elasticity and muscle tone and good overall health. It is recommended for people who cannot reduce the fat deposits in specific areas even after a proper diet and exercise.
Liposuction is not a weight-loss alternative and works well if you have a stable weight. People with underlying health conditions like diabetes, blood circulatory problems, lung disease, or heart disease are not good candidates for liposuction. It makes them vulnerable to risks associated with the procedure.
